Professor Colette Browning - Director
Professor Colette Browning is recognised as a national and international leader in psychology and health. Her research focuses on healthy ageing and improving quality of life for older people, chronic disease self-management and consumer involvement in health care decision-making. Her achievements include:
- Co-Director of the Melbourne Longitudinal Studies on Healthy Ageing program
- Convener of the Healthy Ageing theme and Management Committee member of the Australian ARC/NHMRC Research Network in Ageing Well (2005-present) (http://www.ageingwell.edu.au/)
- Member of the International Research Centre for Healthy Ageing and Longevity International Scientific Advisory Committee (2007-present)
- Editorial Board Member of Gerontology (2000-present).
- Associate Editor Australian Psychologist (2006-present)
- Member of the National Building Ageing Research Capacity Steering Committee (2003-2006) advising the National Strategy for an Ageing Australia.
- Executive Board Member of the College of Health Psychologists of the Australian Psychological Society (2003-2006)
